The Mine Next Door: A Junior Drills for Gold 15 km From Turquoise Ridge

Gold at US$4,430.60 per ounce has put Nevada back in focus, particularly along the state’s established gold trends where major mining operations and earlier-stage exploration projects can occupy the same neighborhood. In Humboldt County, one of those neighborhoods is the Getchell Trend, home to the Turquoise Ridge Complex, Nevada Gold Mines’ combination of the Turquoise Ridge and Twin Creeks operations.

About 15 kilometers away, Eminent Gold Corporation (EMNT:TSXV; EMGDF:OTCQB; 7AB:FSE) is drilling its Hot Springs Range Project, where assays from an ongoing program at the Otis target are pending. The contrast between the two provides the foundation for the story: Turquoise Ridge represents a mature gold system that has been part of Nevada’s mining industry for decades, while Hot Springs Range remains an exploration-stage project where a junior is still testing what its ground may contain.

A Major Gold District Next Door

The Turquoise Ridge Complex is one of Nevada Gold Mines’ cornerstone assets along the Getchell Trend, combining the Turquoise Ridge and Twin Creeks operations. Its mine life is measured in decades, providing an established mining backdrop for exploration taking place elsewhere in the same broader structural province.

Eminent’s Hot Springs Range Project, or HSRP, sits approximately 15 kilometers from the Getchell Trend and covers 4,311 hectares across roughly 10 kilometers of corridor. The company has identified three principal targets on the property: Otis, Eden, and Sitka.

The significance of the comparison is not that Hot Springs Range has been shown to be another Turquoise Ridge. It has not, and exploration at HSRP remains at a much earlier stage. Instead, the proximity provides context for the geological question Eminent is attempting to answer as it drills a substantial land package in a Nevada gold neighborhood already known to host a mature system.

The first answers have come from Otis.

Otis Moves From Discovery to Follow-Up

Eminent’s Phase 1 program at Otis consisted of four core holes, with all four encountering gold. The standout result came from HSC-005, the first test of the Little Humboldt Fault, which returned 9.2 meters at 3.2 grams per tonne gold.

That intercept established a reason to go back. Eminent is now conducting RC drilling at Otis, following up on the structures tested during the first program and looking along strike from the discovery pierce. Assays from that work are pending.

The distinction between the first program and the current one is central to where the Hot Springs Range story stands today. The initial drilling showed that the targeted faults can carry gold, but the company is still at the stage of determining whether that mineralization extends when those structures are pierced again. The current program is designed to provide more information on that question rather than simply repeat what the first four holes established.

That makes the pending assays more consequential than another isolated set of numbers. If subsequent drilling continues to encounter gold along the targeted structures, Eminent will have additional evidence with which to evaluate the potential scale and continuity of mineralization at Otis. If it does not, the interpretation of the initial discovery changes accordingly.

For now, the rig is turning, and that question remains open.

Eden Provides a Second Test

Otis is only one part of the Hot Springs Range property. Approximately 10 kilometers to the north, Eminent has identified the Eden target, a roughly 3-kilometer gold-in-soil anomaly that has not yet received a proper drill test.

The company plans to move the rig to Eden next, giving HSRP a second exploration front after the follow-up work at Otis. While the current program is testing whether an existing discovery extends along its targeted structures, drilling at Eden would begin answering a different question by testing a separate target for the first time.

Those two programs sit within the broader 4,311-hectare HSRP land position and its approximately 10-kilometer corridor. Sitka represents the project’s third named target, leaving Eminent with multiple areas to evaluate as exploration progresses across the property.

A Major Gold Producer on the Register

The geological setting is not the only reason the Hot Springs Range has attracted attention. Kinross Gold Corp. (K:TSX;  KGC:NYSE) is a shareholder of Eminent and increased its ownership to approximately 13.8% in March 2026.

Following Eminent’s initial drilling at Otis, Kinross also staked ground along the HSRP fence line. Both the ownership position and the neighboring staking are public, adding another element to the project’s position within the broader Nevada gold landscape.

Those actions do not determine what Eminent will find at Hot Springs Range, and the pending drilling results remain the evidence that will matter in evaluating the project itself. They do, however, put a major gold producer on Eminent’s shareholder register while that producer also holds ground immediately adjacent to HSRP.

1The company has also drawn attention from Technical Analyst Stewart Thomson, who gave Eminent Gold a Speculative Buy rating on September 8, 2026. Thomson set a short-term price target of CA$0.63, a medium-term target of CA$0.76, and a long-term target of CA$0.87.

For Eminent, that outside interest comes as the company moves beyond its initial four-hole core program and tests whether the structures that produced its first gold intercepts continue along strike.

Two Very Different Stages of the Same Neighborhood

Turquoise Ridge and Hot Springs Range sit at opposite ends of the exploration and development spectrum. One is an established mining complex on the Getchell Trend with decades of operating history and mine life ahead of it. The other is a junior-owned exploration property approximately 15 kilometers away, where fundamental questions about the extent of mineralization are still being answered.

That is what makes the neighborhood comparison useful. Turquoise Ridge offers an example of what a mature gold system in this part of Humboldt County looks like, while Hot Springs Range remains ground where Eminent is still determining what kind of system it has encountered.

The company controls 4,311 hectares across approximately 10 kilometers of corridor, has three named targets, and has already encountered gold in its first four holes at Otis. Eden remains to be properly drill tested, while Kinross owns approximately 13.8% of Eminent and has staked ground along the HSRP fence line.

Against a gold price of around US$4,430.60 per ounce, that combination puts the next phase of exploration into a broader market context. The established mine next door is already known. What remains unknown is whether Eminent’s initial discovery represents something that persists as the company continues drilling.

Assays from the follow-up program at Otis are pending, with the rig testing the structures beyond the initial discovery pierce. The next Otis assay results will help determine whether this is a hole or a system.
